This is my attempt at creating a blog that will help me keep track of all the knitting I do, and as an aside may be interesting to other knitters....who knows?
I was going to try to back date the info I begin with, but on second thoughts I have come to the conclusion that will be more confusing, so I will just jump in the deep end.
I belong to two internet knitting groups, all the members are charity knitters and we donate to mainly Australian Charities that are in need of assistance with the provision of warm garments to the homeless, the under priveledged, nursing homes, neo natal wards, cancer wards and basically anyone that needs a little help. Our only stipulation is that the goods are given, NOT sold to those in need.
Anyone interested in joining either or both of these groups would be most welcome,
they are both Yahoo groups .......if anyone is interested I can advise the address on request.
I have been knitting for charity for approximately 3-4 years but have stepped it up a gear the last 12 months. My husband passed away suddenly at Christmas 2005 and I found that I had a lot more time and needed a purpose so I threw myself into the knitting.
