OK,it's 4am and I am having a night where sleep is impossible so decided to add a post here.
This photo of my grand daughter Erynn was taken early Dec 2006 (ignore the date on photo that was the date of downloading it to the computer), when the fires in Gippsland had been going for a couple of days. It was taken 100's of miles from that area but if you look at the back ground you can see how far the smoke had travelled, there were days when the visibility was down to about half a mile. A terrible time for our fire fighters!
This next photo is the last one of my late husband Ray and myself taken before he got ill. It was not long after this was taken that he started to feel generally run down but sadly the Qld doctors ( and there was more than one) kept telling him he was just getting older, and could not expect to do now what he did 20 years ago. It was only a matter of days after returning to Victoria that we were told he had cancer!........the rest is history. Murphy's Law..anything that can go wrong will go wrong, I am having trouble uploading this photo so will look into it and have another go later. The photo I was going to place here is saved in the wrong format, and because I am computer knowledge challenged I will have to wait to discuss this with someone. So I will upload this one instead, It is Ray with our little dog Minnie, taken in our motor home. Sadly I had to have Minnie put down after Ray passed as she was 18 years old and fretted terribly for him, she would not eat or drink and just lay in her bed whining.
