This is the final count for my years charity knitting/crochet at 415 items, that does not include the items sent to me from K4C Charity Group. I have used 28,089 meters of yarn this year, I haven't kept a tally on the amount of yarn I use in a 12 month period before so this has come as a BIG shock to me. That is 28 kilometres, my gosh that is unbelievable.
Since I first started (2002) with this charity knitting/crochet I have donated to many and varied organisations that help the needy. The tally for the last seven years is DRUM ROLL please, 1731 items.
Quite often I am told what a marvelous job I do in this regard, my answer is simple, I get as much or more from doing it than the recipients. It gives me a purpose in life which was sadly lacking after the children/adults left the nest so to speak.
Well that's it from me for another year.
I wish all my friends a Very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year! Please drive safely, and if you drink and drive you're a boody idiot.

Well done, that is an amazing amount of work and effort.
I have only just found your blog and I joined K4C about the middle of last year.
I understand the rewards as that is the same reason I joined as well.
Although it has triggered the adult childrens requests as well now they are seeing some of the work. That make me feel good too
Again congrats on a fabulous effort!!!
Thanks Maria, I love what I do!
